HEIR ISLAND FERRY

The M.V. Thresher is Heir Island’s official ferry service, which operates all year round. In the summer, the M.V. Thresher provides special ferries for Island Cottage Restaurant, and during the school year, it provides special school ferries. The ferry is licensed to carry 12 passengers at a time. Ferry Timetable

COVID-19 UPDATE  (as of 16 March 2020)
Due to Coronavirus and following medical advice, the Heir Island Ferry will operate a reduced ferry schedule as follows: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 9am, noon and 2pm. If you need urgent alternatives, please call 0868092447 (please do not text). We urge visitors to visit the island only in exceptional circumstances. We ask residents to only use the reduced service if necessary. We thank you for your kind cooperation. Stay safe.


The reduced ferry schedule as detailed above will replace the following ferry schedule until further notice.
